Q.	What is SMOD?
A.	Self Management of Directory (SMOD) is a fully web based Active Directory tool that allows users to view and update their own directory information so that it is up to date and accurate.
Q.	Is the beta version fully functional?
A.	Yes, the beta version is a fully functional version of SMOD with all features enabled. The only limitation is that you can only perform a certain number of writes into Active Directory.
Q.	Why should I allow users to update their own information?
A.	There is a growing trend to empower users to perform certain I.T. functions. As the I.T. landscape changes so quickly, it is an increasing challenge to keep users information up to date in Active Directory. Implementing SMOD allows the I.T. department to empower users to perform this function freeing up valuable I.T. resources and keeping a more accurate directory as a result.
Q.	When will SMOD be released into production?
A.	SMOD is currently in beta and we are aggressively moving towards a release of the product. Our target is to release the product in the end of the 2nd quarter 2011.
